Come for the singing

“Oh RIVER, re-wild my soul.
Help me let go of control.
Show my heart how to flow with ease again.
I am ready, take me in.”

Stay for the joy

Yay! It’s Choir Thursday!

One of the most frequently shared comments is how much better choir members feel at the end of rehearsals compared to the beginning.

Tired? Low energy? Just blah? Come as you are and sing it thru.

We find deep satisfaction in singing to acknowledge this full spectrum experience we’re sharing. And often discover after singing that our load feels a little lighter for the joy of it.

Return for the magic

There’s something delightful that happens when people gather to lift our voices in song — even when we’re doing so virtually. Our breath and heart rates sync to the shared rhythm and we become not just an “I” but part of the “We” who are bringing this song to life in the moment. Even muted our co-creative power is awesome.

Continuing our tradition from ‘the Before,’ at the end of each rehearsal we turn the lights off, light candles or tealights , and sing at least one song in the dark.
